The multicolored tulip ( Tulipa polychroma ) is a species of tulip ( Tulipa ) in the lily family (Liliaceae). It may be just a subspecies of Tulipa biflora .

The multi-colored tulip is a perennial bulb that reaches heights of 6 to 17 centimeters. The species may form runners. There are 2 (to 4) sheets. The bud is nodding. The bracts have a length of up to 4.5 centimeters.

Occurrence

The multi-colored tulip comes in the Eastern Caucasus , in Transcaucasia , in northern Iran and North Afghanistan in clayey and stony Artemisia - semi-deserts before.
