Prussian all-mile obelisk in Eisleben (2006)

The milestone on the Kronenfriedhof in Eisleben is a Prussian all-mile obelisk in the Lutherstadt Eisleben in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt , which was brought to the cemetery for security.

The whole milestones on the Prussian State Office Berlin - Kassel all had the same shape in the Langenbogen – Nordhausen section. Still, 100 years of lack of care have seriously affected many of these stones. With the introduction of the kilometer as a measure of length instead of the mile in the years 1872–1875, the stones were dispensable, partly relocated and partly used. The obelisk, which is almost three meters high with a base stone, was knocked over in 1947, which is why it was brought to the Kronenfriedhof Eisleben in 1983 , where it could be placed under the roof of a former crypt.

At the former location, west of Wimmelburg, only one of the two bench stones remained, the other had been stolen. A copy was therefore made here in 2003. Milestones are in Saxony-Anhalt under monument protection . The all-mile obelisk is not included on the 2015 list with its own registration number , probably because it is now part of the cemetery ensemble (094 75354).

Due to the weather, the inscriptions can no longer be read in full, in particular the distance to Sangerhausen is missing. But they could be reconstructed with the help of the other milestones. They are: "Berlin 27 miles", "Sangerhausen 2 1/8 mile" and "Eisleben 1/2 mile".
