The Meininger Bühnenball is a major social event in the southern Thuringian district town of Meiningen , which has been taking place regularly for many years in January or February on two days in the “Great House” of the Meiningen State Theater .

The stage ball at the Meininger Theater is an important major social event in southern Thuringia. It is the meeting place for Thuringian celebrities from culture, business and politics and attracts up to 4000 guests from all over Thuringia and the neighboring federal states, especially from Lower Franconia in Bavaria and Hesse .

The organizer of the stage ball, which takes place every two years, is the Meiningen State Theater. The “Big House” of the theater acts as the venue for the event . Theater artists, well-known guests from other stages and artists from other genres perform on several stages throughout the building. Between and after the show programs, music formations with different styles invite you to dance on all stages. Bars and cafes complete the offer. The stage ball alternates with the summer festival , which is also held every two years .

  • 2008: "Two thousand laughs"
  • 2009: "French Night"
  • 2014: "Golden Times"
  • 2016: "Ball of Evergreens"
  • 2020: "The Roaring Twenties"
