Master of Alcira: Allegory of Wisdom, Spain, around 1525

A painter from Renaissance Spain is referred to as the Master of Alcira ( Spanish Maestro de Alcira ) . The artist, unknown by name, was active in the region around Valencia at the beginning of the 16th century . It got its emergency name after the altar he created in 1527, which can be found in the church of San Augustin in the eastern Spanish city of Alzira in the province of Valencia . The master should be a successor or student of Fernando Yáñez de la Almedina or Fernando de los Llanos . The Valencian Renaissance School (span. Escuela renacentista valenciana) was formed around these painters.
