Master of Rieden

The Master von Rieden (also Master of the Rieden Retable ) was a late Gothic carver who ran a workshop in the southern Netherlands in Brussels or Leuven around the middle of the 15th century . The master and his workshop produced carved altars for export.

He got his emergency name after the Marienretabel from the Marienkirche in Rieden .
