Mekai Matthew Curtis (born October 14, 2000 in New Jersey ) is an American actor who has been a child actor since 2013 .

life and career

Mekai Curtis was born on October 14, 2000 in the fourth smallest US state, New Jersey, and came to California with his parents and younger sister at a young age to concentrate on his budding acting career. So he began his acting career, like most of today's child actors, doing commercials for television and the Internet. In 2007 he was in a Nick-Jr. - Commercial for the entertaining series The Three Little Pigs , directed by Tonya Lee Williams . His slow breakthrough came in 2013, when he appeared in the short film Bug by James Pillion and in an episode of FOX-Series Arrested Development participated. He was also featured in a commercial for the Walmart retail group and the wireless Internet provider C Spire Wireless that year.

The real breakthrough was not to come until the series launch of Kirby Buckets on Disney XD in the following fall of 2014. In the youth sitcom Curtis has since played the role of Fish as one of the protagonists alongside Jacob Bertrand , Cade Sutton , Olivia Stuck and Tiffany Espensen . So far, the series has already shot two seasons with a total of 31 episodes, with the second season celebrating its US premiere in October 2015. Till Flechtner lends him the voice in the German-language dubbed version of the series . The music-loving Mekai Curtis also had other appearances in 2014 in an episode of Life and Riley , as well as in the movie The Coopers - Worse Goes, directed by Puerto Rican Miguel Arteta . In October 2015 and January 2016 he appeared with Tenzing Norgay Trainor (by Liv and Maddie ) in two commercials for the new Playmation series, the Marvel's The Avengers Starter Pack .

In 2016 he took on a speaking role in the original version of Milo Murphy's Law from the makers of Phineas and Ferb . He speaks the character Zack Underwood and met actress Sabrina Carpenter , with whom he has worked in the past on The Life and Riley .
