Melanesia Cup 1998
The Melanesia Cup 1998 was the sixth regular playout of the tournament for the national soccer teams of Melanesia and took place in September 1998 on Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu . It also served as Melanesia's qualification for the 1998 Oceania Football Championship. The game was played in a simple league round everyone against everyone.
Fiji and Vanuatu qualified as top finishers in the Melanesia Cup for the 1998 Oceania Championship .
