Melania Ridge is a prominent ridge of basalt rock on Black Iceland in the Antarctic Ross Archipelago . It extends over a length of 5 km from Mount Melania in a south-easterly direction.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1999 based on the name of the mountain of the same name. This is derived from the Greek μέλας ( transcribed mélas for "black") and thus establishes the reference to Black Island.
