The Melcon Peak is an icy and 2500 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 1.8 km south of Shapeless Mountain . Its southern flank is characterized by a wedge-shaped rock ledge
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2004 after Mark Melcon (* 1950), a carpenter on the McMurdo station in 23 field research campaigns.
