Melker Schörling

Melker Schörling (* 1947 ) is a Swedish entrepreneur .

Life

Schörling was born into a farming family and grew up in Götlunda near Arboga . He studied at the Gothenburg University of Commerce and the University of Gothenburg . Until 2017, he headed the Swedish investment company Melker Schörling AB, which he founded in 1987 .

Together with the Swedish entrepreneur Gustaf Douglas , he controls the company Securitas AB . He is a major shareholder in the Swedish measurement technology and software group Hexagon AB , of which he was the long-standing director of the board of directors. According to the US Forbes magazine , Schörling is one of the richest Swedes . Schörling is married with two children and lives in Stockholm .
