Melody Harris-Jensbach

Melody Harris-Jensbach (* 1961 ) is an American-South Korean manager. She has lived in Germany since 1986.

Career

She studied at the Parsons School of Design in New York . Through her marriage, Melody Harris-Jensbach came to Germany in 1986, where she initially worked for the Cartoon and Triangle labels in Neuss . She then took over responsibility at Viventy by Bernd Berger , a fashion brand from Hennef . In 1993 she became chief designer of the Escada subsidiary Laurèl, then she moved to Fink in Darmstadt .

In 1998, Harris-Jensbach joined the fashion company Esprit de Corp. as the design director for women's clothing . From 2003 she took over the responsibility as International Product Manager Woman . Since 2005, she has headed the largest segment of Esprit Holding, the global women's casual wear division.

Puma announced in June 2007 that Harris-Jensbach would be appointed as a member of the Management Board with effect from January 1, 2008. She succeeded Martin Gänsler and took on responsibility for the areas of product, product development, design, business unit management and global procurement for the company's retail business. She was the first female vice-boss of a German stock corporation. In July 2011, Puma announced that Harris-Jensbach was leaving the company. On January 9, 2012, she returned to Esprit Holdings as Chief Product & Design Officer . After almost two years at Esprit, Harris-Jensbach resigned on October 31, 2013. However, she will continue to work as a consultant for the fashion company until mid-2014.

Harris-Jensbach has been CEO of the Idstein- based outdoor clothing company Jack Wolfskin since the end of 2014 .
