The Melozitna River is a 217 km long right tributary of the Yukon River in central Alaska .
It rises in the Interior south of the Brooks range and flows in a south-westerly direction. At Ruby it flows into the Yukon River.
The native name for the river was documented in 1867 by an expedition of the Western Union Telegraph Company as "Melozecargut" ("Mouth of the Meloze"). Presumably the "R [eka ]olekofitna" mentioned by LA Sagoskin , a lieutenant in the Imperial Russian Navy , in the 1840s was also this river.
