Melvin Brown Casados (born January 28, 1979 in Naranjos , Veracruz ) is a retired Afro-Mexican football player. Also known as "Melvin el de los Choko Krispis", the defender has played almost his entire career in the Mexican premier league.

Brown made his first Primera Division game in the 2001 Apertura with Cruz Azul . He quickly became an important pillar of the team's defense. In the three years he stayed with Cruz Azul, he played 109 games for the club, in which he scored five goals. After the Clausura 2004 Brown moved to the Jaguares de Chiapas . He stayed there up to and including the Apertura 2007 ; he played 104 games for the club. He moved to newly promoted Puebla FC . He joined UAG Tecos in mid-2008 . A year later he returned to Cruz Azul, where he only stayed one season. The 2010/11 season was Brown again for Puebla FC. It was his final season in the Mexican premier league . He went to Cruz Azul Hidalgo in the second Mexican division in mid-2011 . He ended the 2011/12 season with his team in penultimate place. After the end of the season, he joined the league competitor CD Irapuato , where he ended his career in 2013.

Brown was also active in the Mexican national team . He made his debut as a national defender on January 7, 2001 against the USA . Although he traveled to the 2002 World Cup , he was not used.
