Melvin Holwijn (born January 2, 1980 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch football player .

Holwijn went through youth school at Ajax Amsterdam and joined the U19 team at Stormvogels Telstar in 1998 , where he moved up to the first team a year later.

From 2003 to 2005 he played for the Greek club Iraklis Thessaloniki and then moved back to the Netherlands for SC Cambuur-Leeuwarden . In 2006 he again joined the Dutch second division club SC Telstar from IJmuiden .

In August 2009 he moved to third division club FC Carl Zeiss Jena , with whom he signed a contract until summer 2010. After his contract was not renewed, he rejoined his former club SC Telstar and played again in the TATA Steel Stadium in the Schoonenberg Sport Park.
