The Melzer See or Melzersee is a lake on the northeastern outskirts of Waren (Müritz) in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The water has a size of 12.9 hectares and is 63 m above sea level. NHN . The maximum size of the lake is 670 meters by 260 meters. It gets its water from the trenches of the nearby Lehmkuhlenbruch. It flows through a short ditch into the Tiefwarensee , from which it is only separated by a narrow land bridge and a small road. The location between the two lakes gave rise to the naming of the Werdersiedlung district of Waren.
While allotment gardens stretch out on its southeastern shore, Lake Melzer is bordered by meadows in the northwest. It lies entirely in the Torgelower See nature reserve . The lake can be circumnavigated on a two-kilometer hiking trail. The Ice Age educational trail along the Tiefwarensee also leads past the Melzer See.
