Memmo di Filipuccio
Memmo di Filipuccio († after 1285 in Siena ) was a Sienese painter of the Italian Protenaissance . Memmo's daughter was married to Simone Martini .
As the father and teacher of the better-known artist Lippo Memmi , he has a certain importance, as he supposedly owes his style to the influence of Filipuccio.
Miniatures
Memmo di Filipuccio also worked as an illuminator of manuscripts. Codices that he illuminated are kept in the Biblioteca Comunale e Museo dell'Opera del Duomo in Siena, in the Fondazione Cini in Venice and in the Museo nazionale di San Matteo in Pisa.
