Memurubu is a Norwegian hiking hut located on Lake Gjende in the Jotunheimen National Park . It is located at the end of the Murudalen, at the mouth of the Muru River in the Gjendesee. Memurubu is located in Lom municipality in the province of Innlandet .

The hut was built in 1872 as the fourth hut of the Norwegian Trekking Association DNT . It is now in private hands. But there are discounts for DNT members. After a fire in 1998, a modern building with double rooms and private bathrooms was added. In the main house there are still dormitories and shared showers; a total of over 150 beds are available.

The way from Gjendesheim over the Besseggengrat to Memurubu and back is one of the most famous hiking trails in Norway. There is also a boat connection between Gjendesheim, Memurubu and Gjendebu on the western shore of the lake. Furthermore, from Memurubu the seventh highest mountain in Norway, the Surtningssue ( 2368  moh. ) Can be climbed through the Memurudalen .

Memurubu is powered by a small hydroelectric power station.
