Men2B was a five-piece Dutch boy band .

history

The group was put together in 2004 as part of the talent show Popstars: The Rivals . One of the applicants was Robert "Bobby" Dessauvagie , who later became a member of the band Banaroo . Ultimately, the following made it into the Men2B group:

  • Mark Ebing
  • Nils Krake
  • Steven Lugger
  • Ehsan Naseri
  • Anno van Wanrooij

After the band was put together, the group competed in the final duel against the girl group Raffish . The winner was whoever was able to enter the Dutch charts with his winning single . Since their single Bigger Than That entered both the Nederlandse Top 40 and the single Top 100 at number 1 on December 25, 2004 , Men2B emerged as the winner. At the beginning of 2005, Raffish also took first place with her song Plaything . This title was replaced by Als je iets kan doen by the music project Artiesten voor Azië , in which Men2B and Raffish were also involved. The title was recorded after the tsunami disaster of December 26, 2004 , and the proceeds went to the victims.

Anno van Wanrooij left the band on May 1st, 2005. Men2B brought out three more singles, but they did not make it into the charts. Her debut album, A Different Way , didn't get past number 13. Due to the lack of success, the band announced their separation on January 27, 2006. She gave her last concert on March 5th, 2006 in Geleen . The band members then returned to solo projects or worked in various bands.
