Mengellang (also: Kayungur , Ngeiungel , Ononguru ) is a small town in the administrative state of Ngarchelong (i.e. an administrative area ) in the island state of Palau in the Pacific .
geography
Mengellang is located in the north of the archipelago on the island of Babeldaob and is one of the southernmost places in the state of Ngarchelong. To the south there is a narrow part of the island ( Ngarchelong Isthmus ) and the state of Ngaraard begins with the village of Choll . Between Mengellang and the fishing village of Ollei, the northernmost town of Babeldaob, at the foot of a hill are the statues of Badrulchau , a collection of 37 monoliths , which probably served as a cult site in prehistoric times. Another place to live is Ngriil .
