Ngarchelong is an administrative state (i.e., an administrative area ) of the West Pacific island republic of Palau . It is located in the extreme north of the main island of Babelthuap . The main town is Mengellang .
The 10 km², but sparsely populated administrative area with the eight small villages (hamlets) Ollei , Mengellang , Ngebei , Iebukel , Ngerbau , Ngriil , Ngeiungel and Ngermetong borders the Ngaraard district to the south . According to the 2015 census, Ngarchelong has only 316 inhabitants.
