Ngardmau is an administrative state (i.e., an administrative area) of the Pacific island republic of Palau . It is located in the north of the main island Babeldaob. According to the 2015 census, 185 people live in the 47 km² area of Ngardmau. These are concentrated in the three localities Ngetbong, Ngerutoi and the main town Urdmang .
The highest point in the district is Mount Ngerchelchuus , which is 242 m high . At the foot of the mountain is one of the oldest forest areas in Palau, where many bird species are native.
