Menhir by Chantecoq
The menhir of Chantecoq (also called La Mère aux Cailles or La Pierre de Chantecoq ), defaced by sprayers , is a menhir in the hamlet of Pont-sur-Gallardon, north of Ymeray , northeast of Chartres in the Eure-et-Loir department in France . It is not far from the polissoir and the largely destroyed dolmen of Chantecoq.
The stone, classified as a monument historique , is a weathered and strongly fissured approximately 3.0 m high slab of conglomerate .
