Menhir of Courbessac
The Menhir of Courbessac (also known as Menhir de la Poudrière or Menhir de la Clauze ) is a 2.17 m high, 1.0 m wide and 0.4 m thick menhir , southeast of the village of Courbessac , northwest of Nîmes in the Gard department in France .
The Megalith of limestone south of the old road D 6068 to Avignon north of the airport of Nimes-Courbessac was first in 1906 by Felix Mazauric mentioned (1868-1919). It has been classified as a Monument historique since 1936 .
