Menhir of Guihalon
The menhir of Guihalon (also menhir of Guihallon, La Roche de Guihalon - locally also called Grosse Pierre) is located in the forest north of Trégomar east of Lamballe in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany in France .
The local gabbro menhir was erected on the highest point of the parish amidst rocky chaos. It has a parallelepiped shape and is about 5.2 m high, 3.6 m wide and 10.0 m in circumference. An individual, convinced of the existence of a treasure, tried to blow it up. The menhir has a special attraction for local neo-paganism .
It was classified as a Monument historique in 1965 .
Rocking stones
The northeast-southwest oriented Pierre Branlante von Guihalon is a rocking stone . It is located on a hill about 300 meters southwest of the menhir. The length is 1.8 m, the width 1.18 m; and the height 1.9 m, with a weight of 1.9 to. The stone rests on an elliptical plate about 3.5 m long and an average height of 0.4 m above the ground. A child can move it without effort.
Trégomar had another rocking stone with the Pierre-aux-Cocus. He was an oracle consulted by husbands who had doubts about the loyalty of their wives. If the stone moved under the effect of a light push, the unfortunate was sure to be deceived.
