Menhir of Woinville

The menhir of Woinville stands west of Woinville , a district of Buxières-sous-les-Côtes in the Meuse department in France .

The approximately 1.6 m high Neolithic menhir with a bowl and some cut marks is one of the rare menhirs in the Lorraine region . It is in the park of the Domaine de Pomone .

The menhir was declared a monument historique in 2000 .

About 2.8 km to the west, in Saint-Mihiel, stands the 2.2 m high menhir La Dame Schone (the beautiful lady).
