The menhirs of Llanrhidian (called Upper and Lower Stone) are located in the northern area of Llanrhidian , on the Gower Peninsula west of Swansea in West Glamorgan in Wales .

The Upper Stone stands on the village square above the path to the church. It is about two feet high and quite wide, but very thin. At the top it has a broken shape. The Upper Stone is a conglomerate slab that is believed to have come from the Cefn Bryn. The stone, which stands on a limestone base, was used as a village cross, which was made from a menhir ( Welsh Maen hir - English standing stone ). The tip of the stone has broken off and has been lost, but the design of a Celtic cross can be clearly identified in the rest of the structure. Iron fragments peek out of the slab and base of the stone. Their nature is not understood, but their presence has led to the hypothesis that the stone was also used as a village pillory .

The Lower Stone is a 2.1 m high, cuboid limestone menhir with a cross section of 0.9 × 0.4 m, which was found nearby and erected in the village square in 1846.
