Merit Zloch

Merit Zloch (* 1975 in Stralsund ) is a German musician.

She lives in Berlin , her instrument is the hook harp . She is a master of prehistory and early history and art history. She plays in the ensembles Bilwesz and Vinkoop and was a member of the band Malbrook . Her main focus is on her own compositions and traditional dance music from German-speaking countries. She is the winner of the second prize at the Rencontres internationales de Luthiers et Maîtres Sonneurs de Saint-Chartier 2003 in a duo with Simon Wascher . In 2005 she won the German World Music Prize with MalbrookRuth in the Newcomer category.
