The Merrick Glacier is a steep glacier in the Australian Antarctic Territory . In the eastern part of the Britannia Range of the Transantarctic Mountains, it flows east of the Sennet Glacier in a southerly direction to the Byrd Glacier , which it reaches west of the Horney Bluff .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1965 after the USS Merrick , a transport ship of the United States Navy used in the US Operation Highjump (1946-1947) .
