Mert Kaytankaş (born March 9, 1980 in Bergama ) is a Turkish football player in the service of Nazilli Belediyespor .
Career
Club career
Mert Kaytankaş started club football in Bergamaspor's youth . From a certain age he was enabled to train with the professional team. Later he was involved as a supplementary player in the squad of the league games. So he made his debut for the professionals in a league game on March 30, 1997 against Torbalıspor . In the 1997/98 season he came to eight league games. For the next season he fought for a place in the regular formation despite his young age and made 29 league games in which he scored three goals. For the 1998/99 season then also received a professional contract and played at Bergamaspor until the end of the 2001/02 season.
He then played for various clubs in the third and second Turkish leagues. He reached the 2007/08 season with Karabükspor the runner-up in the TFF 2nd Lig and thus direct promotion to the TFF 1st Lig .
For the 2009/10 season he first moved to the third division side Tokatspor . During the winter break he joined the former league competitor Akhisar Belediyespor , with whom he was runner-up in the TFF 2nd Lig in the 2009/10 season and was promoted to the TFF 1st Lig . In the following season 2010/11 they completely surprisingly reached the championship of the TFF 1st Lig and thus the direct promotion to the Süper Lig . Kaytankaş was this season with 32 league appearances one of the players with the most appearances of Akhisar Belediyespor.
For the second half of the 2012/13 season he moved to third division club Nazilli Belediyespor .
