Mesopotamia (Argentina)
The Argentine landscape of Mesopotamia lies between the two rivers Río Paraná and Río Uruguay .
Mesopotamia is made up of three provinces, these are (from south to north):
- Entre Ríos , flat land with grass and palm forests
- Corrientes , flat country, mostly swampy
- Misiones , hilly and wooded
climate
Climatically, the area can be assigned to the subtropics , without a pronounced rainy season. Summer temperatures are between 30 and 40 ° C, winter temperatures between 15 and 25 ° C.

Since there was no bridge over the Río Paraná, the area was isolated from the rest of Argentina for a long time, so it was settled quite late. Most of the immigrants came from Russia, Germany, Poland and Asia.

The Uruguayan-Argentinian writer Horacio Quiroga (1878–1937) has set a literary monument to the region in his work.
