Metal Forum of Ukraine

The Metall-Forum of Ukraine (Russian: Металл-Форум Украина , English: Metal-Forum of Ukraine - International Exhibition for Metallurgy & Metal ) is the largest international trade fair in Ukraine for metallurgy and metal and takes place in the autumn at the largest and most modern exhibition center of Ukraine, the KiewExpoPlaza in Kiev , the capital of Ukraine.

Until the steel crisis in 2008, the event took place annually. At the decision of the organizers, it is now held every two years, alternating with METALLURGY in Donetsk .

Traditionally, decision-makers from the entire Ukrainian metal industry from the industrial regions of Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk , Kiev and Zaporozhye as well as influential representatives from business and politics meet at the Metal Forum to exchange ideas, inform themselves and make forward-looking decisions about innovations, prospects and framework conditions of the metal market to meet.

At the accompanying conference forum "Metal: Management, Production, Trade and Consumption" , economic framework conditions of the metal market as well as the latest technologies will be presented and the present and future of the Ukrainian metal industry will be discussed.

Every year, during the Metal Forum Ukraine, the Ukrainian Metal Innovation Prize is awarded in the categories “Best Product Innovation ”, “Best New Product of the Year” and “Best Publication on Products and Innovations”.

At the exhibition for blacksmithing and art casting , not only art objects are exhibited. The organizers offer all interested parties the opportunity to purchase exhibits at a subsequent auction. In addition to the numerous company presentations, round tables and seminars, there is also a get-together with an attractive show and a large buffet.

Ukraine currently ranks eighth of the world's leading steel producers and is investing in new technologies in all areas of the metal industry with the help of billion-dollar EBRD and World Bank loans in order to maintain and expand this position.

The main organizer of the Metal Forum Ukraine is the State Research and Information Center of Ukraine "DerzhZovnishInform (DZI)", which is also held annually as part of the Hanover Fair in cooperation with DIHK , Eastern Committee of German Business, the Embassy of Ukraine and the German Messe AG organizes the German-Ukrainian Business Day.
