Metin Akan (born May 28, 1983 in Bursa ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Club career

Metin Akan began his club career in 1999 in the youth of A. Vefikpaşaspor . After a few months he played for youth Kazıklı Kooperatifspor and then after 2001 for the youth of Bursaspor . In the summer of 2001 he got a professional contract but played mostly for the reserve team. He would only be used in a Süper Lig game on the last day of the match . In the 2002/03 season he then came regularly to play for the professional team. For the 2003/04 season he was then again mainly used for the reserve. In 2004/05 he moved to the second division club Inegölspor . After two seasons he moved to the first division Manisaspor and after two years to MKE Ankaragücü .

He has been working for Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor since summer 2011 . After he worked for this club for one season, he moved to the second division Adanaspor for the 2012/13 season .

National team

Akan played a total of four times for the Turkish U-20 national youth team in 2003.
