Metin Erksan

Metin Erksan (born January 1, 1929 in Çanakkale , Turkey , † August 4, 2012 in Istanbul ) was a Turkish film director , actor and art historian . His film Susuz yaz won the main prize at the Berlinale in 1964 .

Erksan studied art history at Istanbul University . He directed 42 films, two of which he also produced, and wrote the scripts for 29 films. In 1998 he appeared in the title role of Alim Hoca .
