Metrocentro San Salvador is the largest shopping center in the capital, San Salvador . It is also the first center that Grupo Roble built. It currently houses more than 500 shops on a total area of ​​around 200,000 square meters and is also the largest shopping center in El Salvador and Central America . It is located on the Boulevard de los Héroes next to the Torre Roble office tower .

It was opened on March 23, 1971 and gradually expanded. The number of visitors is currently around 1.8 million per month. In the center there are department stores, supermarkets, smaller shops with clothing and shoes, hardware stores, cinemas, theaters and restaurants. The number of employees is around 10,000.

Luis Poma Theater

In 2003 the first theater with 227 seats was opened. This theater is the only one in El Salvador that is located in a mall. The Italian-style theater is fully equipped and meets the technical requirements of the performing arts. Seminars and conferences are also held in the building.

Extensions

In mid-2012, extensive renovations and extensions as well as a redesign of the 21,000 square meter grocery shopping center were carried out. New technologies such as LED lighting and glass railings were installed throughout the building complex, and the sanitary facilities were completely renewed.
