Tony Roma's is a US-based restaurant chain headquartered in Miami in the US state of Florida .

Tony Roma’s first restaurant, Tony Roma's Ribs – Seafood – Steaks , opened in North Miami on January 20, 1972. The family restaurant with its casual decor and comfortable ambience conveyed the feeling of a neighborhood meeting. The menu was simple and consisted of cheap food. The baby back ribs barbecue were considered the house specialty. Tony Roma's soon became one of the most popular and successful restaurants in Miami, and more restaurants in the USA followed. The second restaurant was in Broward County, Florida and the third was in West Coast, Beverly Hills , California .

In January 1976 the chain began to expand internationally. Clint Murchison , founder and first owner of the US NFL team Dallas Cowboys , was so convinced of the idea after a rehearsal dinner at founder Tony Roma that he acquired the majority of the franchise rights . The Roma Corporation Inc. joint venture was formed and Murchison funded the chain's aggressive growth and expansion. The company has won numerous awards across the country for the "Best Ribs". In 2009 the company already had 1,725 ​​employees.

To date there are more than 150 locations on five continents. In addition to their standard baby back ribs, the restaurant chain also offers a range of steaks, chicken and seafood. The bar service has well-known spirits, non-alcoholic drinks and beers.
