Mia X (born January 9, 1971 in New Orleans , real name Mia Young ) is an American rapper who was successful in the second half of the 1990s.
Career
Mia X discovered hip-hop in 1979 and began rapping in 1984. In 1994 she was discovered by Master P who produced her debut album Good Girl Gone Bad , which was released in November 1995 via No Limit / Priority . The second album, Unlady Like , climbed to number 21 on the Billboard 200 in 1997 , the successor Mama Drama from 1998 even number 7. Her single Whatcha Wanna Do? Made # 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 .
