Miasmata ( Greek plurality of miasma ) is a survival horror video game with egoperspektivischer representation, which in 2012 by IonFx for Microsoft Windows has been released.

Gameplay

Miasmata is a horror survival adventure game in which you guide a character named Robert Hughes through dangerous terrain and collect herbs to create a cure for an unknown disease.

The protagonist not only has to heal the unknown illness with the help of various tonic elements, but also heal fever and other minor illnesses. In addition, only certain plants and mushrooms can be used, but performance enhancers can be obtained from them, which give the character better endurance, for example.

The search is made more difficult by an unknown monster, which is invincible and reacts to every action of the player.

map

The game has a cartography system. The map must be completed either by triangulation or with pre-made maps. These maps are only available for the coastal regions. If you want to complete the entire map, you have to use triangulation.

development

Miasmata was developed within four years by two brothers, Joe and Bob Johnson. The development took place under the studio name IonFX. Joe Johnson developed the game engine called MILO .
