Micar (* in Saarbrücken , real name Carsten Michel ) is a German DJ and music producer .

Career

Micar grew up in Buchholz in the north heath . and now lives near Munich.

From 1999 to 2001 he worked for Radio Energy 97.1 in Hamburg . He then traveled around the world as a Formula 1 reporter and reported on the races for many German radio stations. From 2002 to 2006 he worked at Radio Energy 93.3 in Munich . In 2006 he started his own business as a DJ and editor, and continued to work in radio and TV.

In November 2014 he released his debut - single Waiting for the Night . The second single This Time It's My Life , which contains a sample from Bitter Sweet Symphony ( The Verve ), entered the Polish airplay charts and the German single charts . With Brothers in Arms (feat. Nico Santos ) he reached the top 3 in Poland. He celebrated his greatest success so far in German-speaking countries in 2017 with the single Burden Down , which reached the top 30 in Germany and the top 40 in Austria. In October 2017 the single achieved gold status for over 200,000 units sold in Germany. At the same time, Micar switched from the record label Kontor Records to Warner Music Germany. His single Secrets was released here in February 2018 .

As a DJ he was support act of Scooter's Can't Stop The Hardcore tour and also played other gigs in the support act of the group.
