Michał Bąkiewicz
Michał Bąkiewicz (born March 22, 1981 in Piotrków Trybunalski ) is a Polish volleyball player .
Michał Bąkiewicz started playing sport at elementary school age. He made his debut in the Polish national team in 2001. Injuries to the shin initially prevented him from participating in major tournaments.
In 2004 Bąkiewicz reached fifth place with the national team at the Summer Olympics in Athens . He celebrated his greatest success as a national player in 2009 when he and the team took first place at the European Championships in Turkey . In 2001 Bąkiewicz won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Austria and the Czech Republic .
Michał Bąkiewicz currently plays for the Polish champions Skra Bełchatów .
