Michael Bohm
Michael Böhm (* 1947 in Taunus ) is a German writer who writes crime novels and short stories .
Life
After training as a typesetter and his master craftsman examination, Michael Böhm initially worked for a few years as a trainer in his profession, but later turned to electronics and switched to data processing . Until he retired from work, he worked in a data center for the automotive industry.
Michael Böhm began to write in his youth. His short stories have been published in various anthologies . This was followed by two short novels, which appeared in 1998 in the so-called "Hirtmoor Chronicle". Other crime novels about the hobby detective Albert Kreitmayer followed.
Böhm's regional thrillers are set in and around his adopted home Dachau , where he has lived for more than forty years.
In April 2016 Michael Böhm was awarded the renowned Friedrich Glauser Prize for the best German detective novel for his work “Herr Petermann and the Triptych of Death” at the Criminale crime festival in Marburg .
