Michael Bochow

Michael Bochow (born March 26, 1948 in Bad Bevensen ) is a German non-fiction author and sociologist .

After his childhood in Lower Saxony, his school education there and the Abitur at the German Evangelical High School in Cairo , Bochow moved to Berlin in 1967 , where he studied political science and sociology. After receiving his doctorate, he worked as a sociologist at the Free University of Berlin . He now works in the Public Health research group at the Berlin Social Science Center .

Since 1987 Bochow started questionnaires, which are generally called "Bochow Study" and which are dedicated to the behavior of homosexual men in matters of sexuality, in particular "safer sex practices" and practices that pose a risk of infection, the level of information on HIV , AIDS and their prevention .
