Michael Cashmore

Michael Cashmore (born before 1986) is a British musician and composer . He lives and works in Berlin .

Live and act

He published music under the name Nature and Organization and, since 2006, increasingly under his real name . Cashmore has also been a relatively permanent member of the loose Current 93 formation since the late 1980s . He worked with numerous well-known musicians, especially of the Neofolk genre , including Rose McDowall , Douglas Pearce , Steven Stapleton and David Tibet . Cashmore composed the majority of Current 93's pieces and has been the main guitarist since Douglas Pearce left in the early 1990s.

After several years of working only with Current 93, Cashmore released his first solo album Sleep England in May 2006 .

In the spring of 2007, The Snow Abides , a mini album, was released, which includes songs with vocals by Antony, the front man of Antony and the Johnsons . The lyrics of the pieces are all by David Tibet, who can not be heard on the album.

In 2008 Cashmore released the CD Gabriel & The Lunatic Lover with Marc Almond ( Soft Cell ) with two poems set to music by the poet Count Eric Stenbock .
