Michael Ceyp

Michael Hugo Ceyp (born February 9, 1965 in Dülmen ) is a German economist. He is a professor at the private University of Applied Sciences Wedel and the private FOM University .

Life

After training at the savings bank and studying business administration at the University of Münster , he received his doctorate in 1996 on the subject of ecology-oriented profiling in vertical marketing . This was followed by several years of work as a consultant in dialogue marketing. In addition, he was managing director of a specialist publisher for several years. Since the summer semester 2001 he has been Professor of Marketing at the Wedel University of Applied Sciences . Here he founded the business administration course in 2003. He was a long-time jury member in the customer magazine competition “ Best of Corporate Publishing ” and the “Alfred Gerardi Memorial Prize”.

In his research, he deals with the area of online marketing and here in particular, in addition to social media marketing (SMM), with the area of search engine marketing (SEO / SEM) and e-mail marketing. In addition, he is dedicated to recent developments in the field of supply chain management and globalization. His doctorate at the Institute for Marketing (Institute Director Heribert Meffert ) of the WWU Münster was published in 1996.
