Michael Eichhammer (born June 4, 1972 in Munich ) is a German author and journalist.

Life

Before starting his writing career, Michael Eichhammer worked as a department head for lifestyle magazines such as Playboy and FHM . He later founded his own editorial office and has since written for various magazines, newspapers, online media and in the PR area.

In the summer of 2007 his novel debut "Toreros are so" ( Piper Verlag , Piper Boulevard) was published. The protagonist Martin Sandmann, who has lost his job and girlfriend, has set himself a deadline: to be happy until his 31st birthday, however that goes. The criticism was not short of comparisons - his style has been compared with such illustrious names as Nick Hornby , Tommy Jaud and Oscar Wilde .

In the late summer of 2008, the novel "Solo for Anna" followed, also by Piper. The protagonist is again a day thief in search of happiness. He decides to persuade the former colleagues of his university band to make a comeback after ten years. The search for the missing keyboard player Anna is most important to him for very private reasons.

In 2009 the audio book for “Toreros are so” was published in a version spoken by the author himself, which, in addition to deletions, also features various changes in content.

At the end of 2004, Wieland Verlag published his non-fiction book “Silver Arrows and Cannons”, which tells the story of the pioneering days of Grand Prix racing. The guide “The Injured Man”, written in collaboration with the therapist Peter Thiel, was published in 2008 by Random House by Ariston Verlag.

In 2010 the guide “First Aid for Freshly Lovers” was published. His latest project is a ghostwriting activity in the field of German-language music.
