Michael Eippart

Michael Eippart (also: Eippert , Eyppert and Euppert ; * 1565 in Hailfingen ; † July 7, 1625 in Tübingen ) was a German hospital nurse and mayor of Tübingen.

Life

Michael Eippart was a son of Michael Euppert from Hailfingen. His profession is not recorded. The fact that he held the post of hospital caretaker from 1614/15 to 1619/20 suggests that he graduated from a school, perhaps the Latin school. In 1586 he married Margarethe Kittelin, a daughter of Conrad Kittelin from Rottenburg (* 1559; † July 4, 1635) and had three children with her.

Michael Eippart was attested as a councilor in 1610. Since he was a court relative since 1616, it can be assumed that he was a council relative up to this point in time. In 1620 Eippart granted the city and the office of Tübingen a loan of 500 florins . Since it was a considerable sum, it can be concluded that he belonged to the rich class. Eippart was from Galli (October 16) 1621 until his death in 1625 also mayor of Tübingen.
