Michael Emil Sachs

Michael Emil Sachs (* 1836 in Hadamar , Hesse-Nassau province ; † June 9, 1893 in Partenkirchen ) was a German landscape painter.

Sachs was a student of Johann Wilhelm Schirmer at the Karlsruhe Art School from 1855 to 1858 and of Oswald Achenbach at the Düsseldorf Art Academy until 1860 .

He spent the period from 1860 to 1865 in Wiesbaden and then settled near Partenkirchen, where he ran a school for wood carving.

Michael Emil Sachs painted landscapes from the Rhine and Lahn regions, from the Eifel, the Taunus and the Bavarian Alps.
