Michael Fischer (lawyer)

Michael Fischer (* 1972 in Stadtoldendorf ) is a German administrative lawyer . Since 2018 he has been head of the Berlin Office for the Protection of the Constitution , Department II of the Senate Department for Interior and Sport Berlin.

Life

education

Fischer passed his Abitur in 1992 in Holzminden . He then began studying law in Hanover in 1992 and passed the first state examination in 1997 . From 1998 to 2000 he took part in the preparatory service in the higher regional court district of Celle, so that in 2000 he passed his second state examination.

career

After completing his studies, Fischer first worked as a lawyer in 2001 . In the same year he started at the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution . There he worked in various functions within the authority until 2007. He then worked from 2007 to 2015 in various areas of responsibility at the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution in Hesse . In 2015 he became Head of the Department of Protection of the Constitution of the Ministry of the Interior, rural areas and Integration of Schleswig-Holstein . In November 2018 he took over the management of the Berlin Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Department II for the Protection of the Constitution of the Senate Department for Home Affairs and Sport Berlin.

Private

Fischer is a member of the SPD. He is married and has three children.
