Michael Fischer (politician, 1947)

Michael Fischer (born April 11, 1947 in Koethen (Anhalt) ) is a German politician. He was a member of the People's Chamber , the German Bundestag and the Brandenburg State Parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school, Fischer studied human medicine at the Magdeburg Medical Academy . He then went on to train to become a specialist in paediatrics . In 1976 he became a scientific assistant at the Central Institute for Diabetes in Karlsburg in the Greifswald district . From 1983 to 1990 he was a senior doctor in the children's outpatient clinic at Perleberg Polyclinic . Fischer is married and has three children.

After leaving the Brandenburg state parliament, Fischer ran a practice for pediatric and adolescent medicine in Barßel, Lower Saxony, from 1992 until his retirement in 2013 .

politics

Fischer had been a member of the GDR CDU since 1974 . From March to October 1990 he was a member of the 10th People's Chamber of the GDR for the Perleberg I constituency . He then belonged to the German Bundestag until December 1990. In addition, from October 1990 to June 1991, Fischer was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament , where he was a member of the Legal Committee. After leaving the state parliament, Karl-Heinz Möckel took over .
