Michael Heide (* in Cologne ) is a German author, slam poet , radio play speaker and podcaster.

biography

Michael Heide has been active on German-speaking slam stages since 2008 and has won numerous slams. He took part in the German-language slam championships several times, for example in Zurich in 2008 and in Heidelberg and Mannheim in 2012 . At the North Rhine-Westphalian championships, the NRW Slam, he qualified for the finals twice: in 2009 in Siegen and 2011 in Cologne . In his short stories, Heide often creates gloomy scenarios with morbid elements, but also black and humorous twists. His texts have been published in various anthologies and magazines. Heide moderated and organized in Sonic Ballroom with the poet war for over five years the oldest poetry slam Cologne. In the same town he is part of the reading stage An Evening Called Gudrun  (with Anke Fuchs , Christian Gottschalk, Sami Omar and Cris Revon). In Cologne and Berlin he moderated anti-slams or experimental slams for some time , in which the usual slam rules were played and broken. There, for example, poets performed in the dark, had to swap texts shortly before their appearance, or tried to achieve the lowest possible number of points in the anti-slam through a creative "bad" appearance.

Heide was active as a speaker for the first time in 2010 with two text contributions on the audio book for Poetry Night (published directly by Audible ). In 2015 he took on the leading role "Marvin", a speaking artificial intelligence , in the radio play Die Zeitmaschine, written by Wuppertal's Hank Zerbolesch , which was performed live and then published on CD by Periplaneta . In Zerbolesch's follow-up project, the live radio play parody The Riddle of Missing Pep , Heide again took on a number of roles. Since 2019 he has been publishing the weekly podcast Movigilantes with Dennis Kautz, in which comic book films are reviewed.

Michael Heide lives and works in Cologne .
