Michael Christopher Hetzl (born September 15, 1987 in Mühldorf am Inn ) is a master craftsman for hearing aid acoustics, a German politician ( Independent Mühldorfer / Free Voters ) and, since May 1, 2020, mayor of the district town of Mühldorf a. Inn .

education and profession

Michael Hetzl attended primary school in Mühldorf from 1994 to 1998. From there he moved to the secondary school in Mühldorf and then to the Herzog-Ludwig-Realschule in Altötting, which he completed in 2005 with a secondary school leaving certificate . In September 2005 he began training as a hearing aid acoustician , for which he attended the Academy for Hearing Aid Acoustics in Lübeck. He completed his apprenticeship in 2008 with a journeyman's certificate in hearing aid acousticians. In 2009 he began training to become a master craftsman in Braunschweig. In December 2009 he finished his training to become a master craftsman. He had already taken over the management of hearing aid acoustics in his parents' company since mid-2009. From 2010 to 2020 he was a member of the management team at hetzl & hirsch OHG.

Local politics

Michael Hetzl ran in the 2020 local elections for the election of the 1st Mayor of Mühldorf am Inn and received 34.66% of the votes in the first ballot on March 15, 2020. Since the incumbent Marianne Zollner could not achieve more than 50% of the votes in the first ballot, a runoff election took place on March 29, 2020 , which Michael Hetzl won with 50.75% of the votes.
